DHAKA, Jan 4, 2026 (BSS)--The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced 
their squad for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 today, leaving out middle 
order batters Jaker Ali Anik and Mahidul Islam Ankon.

There was no surprise in the sqaud as the selectors kept faith on the players 
who have been regular in T20 squad over the last two years.

Liton Das will lead the side in the showpiece event while Saif Hassan will be 
his deputy.

Tanzid Hasan Tamim and Saif Hassan will open the innings while Parvez Hossain 
Emon is considered as middle order batter along with Towhid Hridoy.

Shamim Patwari and Nurul Hasan Sohan made the cut as a finisher while 
Mustafizur Rahman and fast bowler Taskin Ahmed will lead an attack that 
included three other pacers.

Spin options include off-spinner Mahedi Hasan, left arm spinner Nasum Ahmed 
and leg-spinner Rishad Hossain.
