Germany, Uganda women's kabaddi teams now in city

DHAKA, Nov 15, 2025 (BSS)- Two more teams -Germany and Uganda-women's kabaddi teams arrived in the capital today to take part in the 2nd Women's Kabaddi World Cup scheduled to be held at Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium in Mirpur from November 17 to 24.

Earlier, India and Zanzibar women's kabaddi teams arrived in the capital to take part in the tournament.

The Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation has taken overall preparation to make the World Cup a success. The utmost importance has been given to the safety of the players, accommodation, transportation and venue management in all areas.

After a prolong thirteen-year gap, the Women's Kabaddi World Cup is going to be held in Dhaka after the first edition of the World Cup was held in Patna, India in 2012.

In the first edition, Bangladesh lost to Japan in the quarterfinals. India became the champions and Iran became the runners-up.
