CHATTOGRAM, Oct 26, 2025 (BSS) - The trophy for the Bangladesh-West Indies three-match T20 series was unveiled at the Central Railway Building (CRB) premises in the port city.
Liton Das and Shai Hope, the captains of the two teams, revealed the trophy at a ceremony held in front of the Eastern Railway headquarters, a British-era architectural landmark, in the historic CRB area of the city on Sunday afternoon.
In collaboration with the Bangladesh Tourism Board, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has initiated a new tradition of unveiling series trophies at historic and picturesque locations in the country.
The ODI series trophy was recently revealed at Lalbagh Fort in Dhaka, following previous unveilings at a tea garden in Sylhet. This time, the centenary CRB of Chattogram was selected as the venue for the trophy unveiling.
After the ceremony, the two captains participated in a photo session. Liton and Hope also posed with the trophy in front of a charming old railway engine at CRB.
The T20 series will kick off tomorrow, Monday, at the Flight Lieutenant Bir Shrestha Matiur Rahman Stadium in Chattogram.
The remaining two matches are scheduled for October 29 and 31, with each match starting at 6:30 pm.
Bangladesh emerged victorious in the recently concluded ODI series with a 2-1 win.
Captain Liton Das is determined to maintain the winning momentum in the upcoming T20 matches.
The Bangladesh team squad includes Liton Kumar Das (captain), Tanjid Hasan Tamim, Parvez Hossain Emon, Towhid Hridoy, Zaker Ali Anik, Shamim Hossain Patwary, Rishad Hossain, Sheikh Mehedi Hasan, Nasum Ahmed, Taskin Ahmed, Mostafizur Rahman, Shariful Islam, Tanjid Hasan Shakib, Nurul Hasan Sohan, and Saif Hasan.
