DHAKA, Oct 22, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh' domestic cricket season is set to start
with the Dhaka First Division Cricket League in November, said Cricket
Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM) Chairman Adnan Rahman Dipon.
The Second and Third Division leagues will follow soon after.
The decision came after a CCDM meeting held today with the First Division
clubs.
"We had a meeting with the First Division teams today. Almost all the clubs
were present and showed their interest to play the league," Dipon said here
today.
"There were some minor differences regarding the timing. The good news is
that they are very much interested, and we'll soon announce the dates for the
toss-up and the start of the league," he added.
The CCDM Chairman also revealed that they are mulling to run multiple
divisions league simultaneously.
"All leagues I mean the First Division, Second Division, and Third Division
leagues will run concurrently," he said.
"However, Dhaka Premier League won't be included because of the Bangladesh
Premier League (BPL), national team commitments, and the National Cricket
League (NCL). We'll try to find a gap in the schedule to start the DPL within
that window."
