DHAKA, Oct 10, 2025 (BSS)- The Joypurhat district baseball development  training camp was officially inaugurated as part of the continuous 
development activities of the Bangladesh Baseball-Softball Association, said  a press release.

Joypurhat District Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) (General) Bipul Kumar  inaugurated the camp at the Joypurhat District Stadium at 9 am on Friday. 

Sports Officer of District Sports Organisation Gautam Sarkar, district  secondary education officer and other officials of the District Sports 
Association were also present in the inauguration ceremony.

Bangladesh Baseball-Softball Association Senior Vice President and Game  Development Committee Chairman Prof. Dr. Anupam Hossain, its General  Secretary Talha Zubair and Joypurhat district baseball organisers and coaches  Naimul Islam and Ali Imam Hossain were also present at the event.

Speaking as the chief guest in the opening ceremony, Additional Deputy  Commissioner (ADC) (General) Bipul Kumar expressed his deep interest in  playing baseball and announced the organisation of the Joypurhat District  Baseball Competition at the district level in Joypurhat within this month.

He also assured all-out cooperation from the administration in the  development of baseball.

By organising such developmental camps in every division and district,  baseball would be built on a strong foundation from the rural to the national  level in the future, the Bangladesh Baseball-Softball Association informed.
