23-memebr squad announced for Int’l friendlies against Nepal

 
DHAKA, Sept 3, 2025 (BSS)- The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) today announced a 23-member squad for the two-match FIFA Tier-1 International Friendlies against host Nepal during the FIFA international window. 

The matches are scheduled to be held on September 6 and 9 in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. 

The team reached at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) on time and were about to board the plane this noon before airline authorities informed that the flight schedule carrying the Bangladesh national football team to Nepal has been changed. The new flight time has been set for 7 pm this evening.

The Bangladesh team will miss the service of all of their overseas-based footballers. Shamit Shome had earlier confirmed his unavailability for the matches, while Leicester City midfielder Hamza Dewan Choudhury suffered injury during a Championship League fixture recently, was not included in the final squad. 

Meanwhile, Italy-based Fahamiedul Islam and Bashundhara Kings' new signing Cuba Mitchell are with the under-23 football team for the AFC U-23 Asian Cup Qualifiers engagement in Vietnam.
