DHAKA, Sep 12, 2026 (BSS) - The Dhaka University (DU) unit of Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) has announced a two-day special programme on the campus to raise public awareness about dengue prevention across the country and keep the environment clean.
DU Chhatra Dal President Ganesh Chandra Roy Shahas and General Secretary Nahiduzzaman Shipon announced the programme today.
As part of the programme, a memorandum will be submitted to the DU Vice-Chancellor at 12:30 pm tomorrow seeking effective measures for dengue prevention and cleanliness on the campus. After submitting the memorandum, an awareness billboard will be installed and leaflets will be distributed on the premises of the Vice-Chancellor's office.
On the following day, the hall units of the organisation will submit memoranda to the respective hall administrations. At the same time, cleanliness drives and awareness leaflet distribution programmes will be conducted in the respective halls.
A letter signed by the organisation's Office Secretary Mallik Wasi Uddin Tami said the DU Chatra Dal undertook the initiative as part of the three-month-long "Dengue Prevention and Cleanliness Drive-2026" announced by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
