DHAKA, Sept 12, 2026 (BSS) - Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 151 people in separate drives in crime-prone areas under its Mirpur Model and Tejgaon divisions in the capital.

Mirpur Model Police arrested 66 people, including 17 suspects during a special operation in different crime-prone areas of the station on Saturday, according to a DMP press release.

Meanwhile, Tejgaon Division of the DMP arrested 85 people in separate drives conducted in various areas under its six police stations on Friday.

Of the 85 arrested in Tejgaon Division, 21 were from Tejgaon Police Station, seven from Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, 27 from Mohammadpur, 19 from Adabor, six from Tejgaon Industrial Area and five from Hatirjheel.

The arrestees in both operations were sent to the respective courts after legal proceedings.
