DHAKA, Sept 9, 2026 (BSS) - Jatrabari police of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 22 people involved in various criminal activities during a special operation conducted across the police station areas of the city on Tuesday.

According to DMP's media and public relations division press release issued here today, saying that the Jatrabari police conducted special drives in different crime-prone areas and arrested them.

 It said the arrestees are identified as Md Sowat, Md Shaown, Bina, Sadek Miah, Md Sagor, Arman Hossain Bappy, Md Russel, Md Delwar Hosain Patwari alias Sumon, Md Bhasani, Md Sajjad, Md Sumon, Md Shahin, Md Shahid, Md Jewel, Sima Akter, Md Sharif Miah, Anwar Hossain alias Habu, Rubel, Ujjal, Sajibur Rahman, Shamim and Md Ismail.

The DMP, however, said that police produced them before to the court after taking legal formalities.
