DHAKA, Sept 3, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has formed a coordination committee to oversee the enrollment of graduates in the registered graduate list of Dhaka University (DU) and review the election activities of the Jatiyatabadi Oikya Parishad.

BNP Joint Office Secretary Muhammad Munir Hossain disclosed the information in a press release issued today.

BNP lawmaker Md. Shahiduddin Chowdhury Anee has been appointed convener of the committee, while DU Syndicate member Prof Dr. Md. Morshed Hasan Khan has been named member-secretary.

The committee's other members are Barrister Nasir Uddin Ahmed Asim; DU Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Prof Dr. Abdus Salam; DU Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Prof Dr. Mohammed Almujaddade Alfasane; National University Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Md. Lutfor Rahaman; DU Arts Faculty Dean Prof Dr. Md. Abul Kalam Sarker; and Md. Abdus Sattar Patowary.

The committee was formed to supervise the enrollment process for the registered graduate list and review the activities of the Jatiyatabadi Oikya Parishad ahead of the election of 25 registered graduate representatives to the DU Senate.
