DHAKA, Sept 2, 2026 (BSS) - Four more children died with suspected measles while 1,034 suspected measles cases were reported in the past 24 hours.

The number of deaths from confirmed measles and measles-like symptoms has reached 983 since March 15, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

No one died from confirmed measles in the past 24 hours. Since March 15, a total of 99 people have died from confirmed measles and 884 from suspected measles.

A total of 1,034 suspected measles cases were reported in the past 24 hours. From March 15, the total number of suspected measles cases has reached 160,184.

In the past 24 hours, 63 confirmed measles cases were reported. Since March 15, the total number of confirmed measles cases has reached 19,447.

Since March 15, a total of 140,472 patients with suspected measles have been admitted to hospitals. During the same period, 135,417 patients recovered and were discharged from different hospitals across the country.
