DHAKA, Aug 31, 2026 (BSS) – The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 147 people in separate drives conducted in crime-prone areas under its Mirpur Division over the past 24 hours.

The arrests were made as part of regular operations aimed at maintaining law and order and curbing criminal activities in the capital, according to a DMP press release issued today.

Of the total, 51 were arrested by Mirpur Model Police Station, 25 by Shah Ali Police Station, 31 by Pallabi Police Station, 10 by Kafrul Police Station, 14 by Darus Salam Police Station, 12 by Rupnagar Police Station and four by Bhashantek Police Station.

The arrested individuals have been sent to the appropriate courts, the release said.
