DHAKA, Aug 27, 2026 (BSS) - A court here today delivered judgments in 15 graft cases, acquitting Prime Minister's Political Adviser Mirza Abbas in all the cases, while Finance Minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury was acquitted in one case.
Judge Muhammad Qamrul Hasan Khan of Dhaka Special Judge Court-3 pronounced the judgments this afternoon.
Of the 15 cases, Mirza Abbas was accused in all the cases, along with 11 others - SM Jafar Ullah, Md Emdadul Islam, Mohammad Ali, Golam Nabi, Qazi Riajul Monir, Ziauddin Ahmed, Abdus Sadek, Humayun Khan, Mir Mosharraf Hossain, Ikbal Uddin Chowdhury and Md Shahid Alam.
Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury was accused in one case and the court also acquitted him today.
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed the 15 separate cases on March 29, 2007.
