DHAKA, Aug 18, 2026 (BSS) - The Traffic Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed 1,730 cases against traffic law violators during the last 24 hours in the capital.

The DMP said in a press release issued here today that a total of 589 vehicles were dumped and 348 vehicles were towed during traffic enforcement drives on Monday.

The Ramna Division filed 136 cases, Lalbagh Division 141 cases, Motijheel Division 307 cases, Wari Division 152 cases, Tejgaon Division 174 cases, Mirpur Division 354 cases, Uttara Division 262 cases and Gulshan Division 204 cases during the drive.

It said the DMP’s traffic enforcement drives would continue across the capital to ensure traffic discipline.
