DHAKA, Aug 18, 2026 (BSS) - Police have arrested 31 people in separate special drives in the Jatrabari, Mugda and Lalbagh areas of the capital over the past 24 hours.

According to a Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) press release, of them, 15 were arrested in Jatrabari, nine in Mugda and seven in Lalbagh for their alleged involvement in various crimes, including regular and warrant cases.

The arrested suspects were sent to court, according to the DMP.
