DHAKA, Aug 6, 2026 (BSS) - A documentary chronicling stories of resilience, loss and hope in the aftermath of the July 2024 Mass Uprising has been produced, highlighting the struggles of the families of the martyrs and the injured as well as the humanitarian support provided by 'Amra BNP Paribar' to help them rebuild their lives.
Produced by 'Amra BNP Paribar', the documentary follows the organisation's visits to affected families across the country, showcasing a range of humanitarian initiatives, including medical treatment, financial assistance, educational support, livelihood rehabilitation and house construction, while portraying the families' path to recovery.
The July 2024 Mass Uprising marked a defining chapter in Bangladesh's history, leaving hundreds of people dead, thousands injured and numerous families grappling with financial hardship and emotional trauma after losing their sole breadwinners.
Against this backdrop, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, also BNP chairman and chief patron of 'Amra BNP Paribar', stressed the importance of standing beside the injured and the families of the martyrs.
Under his guidance, the organisation, led by its Convener Atikur Rahman Rumon, launched a nationwide humanitarian campaign to reach affected families, assess their needs, express solidarity and provide assistance where necessary.
As part of the initiative, delegation members travelled to different districts across the country to meet injured people and the family members of martyrs, directly assessing their circumstances and identifying their immediate and long-term needs.
Based on those assessments, the organisation undertook a range of humanitarian initiatives, including arranging medical treatment, extending financial assistance, supporting children's education, helping with livelihood rehabilitation and constructing houses for families in need.
The documentary presents the lived experiences of families affected by the July Mass Uprising, portraying their grief, resilience, hope and determination to rebuild their lives while highlighting key chapters of 'Amra BNP Paribar's humanitarian activities.
Beyond documenting relief efforts, the film reflects a broader commitment to social responsibility and standing beside people in times of crisis, showcasing humanitarian support as an enduring effort rather than a one-time response.
