DHAKA, July 21, 2026 (BSS) - Inspector General of Police (IGP), Md. Ali Hossain Fakir, spent a busy final day in Bangkok, Thailand, attending the Regional Summit on Scam Center Compounds and Transnational Organized Crime, alongside other official engagements, according to a Police Headquarters statement.

The two-day summit, held on July 20-21, concluded today. 

It was organized by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) with the support of the Royal Thai Police.

The conference brought together FBI Director Kash Patel, police chiefs from 20 countries across the Asia-Pacific region, and a total of 109 delegates.

The summit focused on strengthening regional cooperation to combat transnational organized crime, dismantle scam center networks, and enhance coordinated law enforcement efforts across the region.
