DHAKA, July 19, 2026 (BSS)- Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) today began preparing an inventory of assets of two apartments in city’s Gulshan area belonging to former land minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury Jabed following a court’s order.

ACC sources said the inventory process began at 10am and so far found more than 300 coats, over 500 neckties, four Rolex watches stored in eight watch boxes, three sets of pearls, four chandeliers, more than 100 kameez, beds, sofas and other valuable furniture and household items.

Assistant Director (Public Relations) of ACC Tanzir Ahmed told BSS that the inventory process would continue tomorrow. He said a comprehensive and final inventory of all items found in those apartments would be published after the process is completed.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge's Court appointed the ACC's Director (Asset Management Unit) as receiver to take control, manage, supervise and preserve the two apartments A-7 and B-7 located at plot 11, road 66 in Gulshan.

Under a subsequent court order, Assistant Commissioner (Land) of the Gulshan Revenue Circle Niloy Rahman was appointed as the Executive Magistrate to facilitate the receiver's entry into the locked apartments in absence of the accused and to oversee the preparation of the inventory of the assets of the apartments.

Earlier, in a memorandum issued on July 2, the ACC said that in compliance with the court's directive, arrangements had been made to place the two apartments under the receiver's possession on the scheduled date and complete the inventory of the assets.
