DHAKA, May 12, 2026 (BSS) - On the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha, the government has decided to keep shopping malls, markets and shops open till 10 pm from today.

"The government has taken the decision for the convenience of people," Muhammad Arif Sadeq, Information and Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, said in a press release issued today.

The release said that all shopping malls, markets and shops will remain open till 10 pm instead of 7 pm until Eid-ul-Azha.

It also added that all divisional commissioners and deputy commissioners will take necessary measures in this regard.
