DHAKA, Sept 8, 2026 (BSS) - Police arrested 35 people in separate operations in Jatrabari and Motijheel areas.

According to a Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) press release, Jatrabari police arrested 27 people on Monday during raids in crime-prone areas of the locality, while Motijheel police detained eight others in separate operations.

The arrests were made over alleged involvement in various criminal activities.

The detainees include people aged between 19 and 47, police said.
Legal proceedings against the arrested people are underway.
