DHAKA, May 10, 2026 (BSS) - "Mother" is a small word, but its depth is 
immeasurable, as she remains the greatest source of love, shelter, courage 
and reassurance in every human life, said State Minister for Road Transport 
and Bridges and Railways Habibur Rashid Habib.

Marking World Mother's Day, the state minister expressed deep emotional 
attachment and gratitude through a special photo and video message shared on 
social media today, which has already drawn widespread attention online.

In the image, the state minister is seen embracing his elderly mother, 
dressed in a white sari, with profound affection. He is also seen gently 
placing his hand on her head, reflecting a silent expression of love, respect 
and devotion.

In his message, he said, "The word mother itself is a place of respect and 
love for every individual. When we feel that we have no shelter anywhere, we 
believe there is a place of peace if we go to our mother."

"On Mother's Day, I express my respect and love for all mothers," he added.

World Mother's Day is observed every year on the second Sunday of May to 
honour the sacrifice, love and lifelong contributions of mothers.
