DHAKA, May 10, 2026 (BSS) -  Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Employees Union today held an installation  and oath-taking ceremony for its newly elected executive committee for the 2026-27 term.

The ceremony was held at the meeting room of the BSS head office in the capital, where Secretary General of the Bangladesh Federal Union of Newspaper Press Workers Mushtaq Ahmed administered the oath to the newly elected leaders.

Managing Director and Chief Editor of BSS Md Kamal Uddin Mozumder attended the programme as the chief guest.

Among others, Managing Editor Md Fazlul Haq, Chief News Editor Md Manikul Azad, Chief Reporter (English) GM Rajib Hossain, Chief Reporter (Bangla) Md Didarul Alam, City Editor Md Morshadur Rahman, Deputy Chief News Editor Ayesha Parvin, Head of Sports Desk Raschida Afzalun Nesa and Head of National Desk Sharmin Jahan were present at the function.

The BSS Employees Union election was held on February 24, in which Md Kamarul Haque was elected president and Md Jahangir Hossain general secretary respectively.

Besides, Nuruzzaman was elected treasurer, Md Gias Uddin vice-president, Md Ramzan Hossain joint general secretary and Md Jasim Uddin organising secretary.

Saiful Islam Sabuj, Md Ismail Hossain Palash and Md Kamruzzaman Liton were elected executive members.
