DHAKA, May 10, 2026 (BSS) - Mirpur Model Police Station under Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested a total of 44 people, allegedly involved in various crimes, in a special operation in Mirpur area.

“Police sent them before the court,” said a press release issued by the DMP’s media division here today.

It said the arrested are Hridoy Hossain (21), Hasnain Ahmed Shanto (22), Monir Hossain (39), Umar Farooq (42), Haridoy Hossain (24), Masud Rana (36), Khokon (42), Idris (40), Aliullah (22), Md Mamun (22), Md Jewel (20), Zahidul (20), Md Ripon (30), Md Kamrul Hasan (20), Md Sumon (21), Swapan Das (32), Md Masum (26), Sohanur Rahman Sohan (26), Md Junayed Saif (22), Md Al Fatin alias Sami (27), Md Yasin Arafat (21), Md Ifadul Kabir (21), Jisan Hossain Alif (23), Dev Jyoti (28), Md Arif Hasan (32), Md Tuhin (32), Noor Farazi (28), Md Shakil (25), Md Mehedi Hasan Anik (27), Md Omar Bin Harun (30), Md Zahir (43), Maruf Alam (18), Md Shahin Alam (30), Md Amirul Islam (24), Md Golam Rabbi (26), Md Hasan (30), Md Helal (33), Md Mamun (45), Md Rajan (30), Md Shahen (26), Md Rakib (19), Md Shahzaman Jewel (32), Farhana Akhtar Smriti and Md Musa.

According to Mirpur police, members of Mirpur Model Police Station conducted a special operation in various crime-prone areas in the area and arrested them on charges of various crimes.
