DHAKA, May 8, 2026 (BSS) – A fire broke out at a foam factory in the city’s Kadamtali area this evening.

According to the Fire Service and Civil Defence, four firefighting units are currently working to bring the blaze under control, while another unit has been dispatched to the scene.

In a message, the fire service said the fire originated at around 6:24pm. On receiving information, fire fighters rushed to the spot and started extinguishing the blaze immediately.

The cause of the fire and extent of damage could not be known immediately, fire service sources said.
