DHAKA, May 07, 2026 (BSS) – Mirpur police arrested 153 people in a day-long special drive conducted in different areas under their jurisdiction in the capital on charges of involvement in various crimes.

According to sources at the Media and Public Relations Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), the law enforcers recovered different types of drugs and locally made weapons from the arrestees during the drive conducted on May 6.

Of the arrestees, 56 were detained from the Mirpur Model Police Station area, 33 from Pallabi, 15 from Kafrul, 17 from Shah Ali, 14 from Darus Salam, five from Bhashantek and 13 from Rupnagar Police Station areas.
