DHAKA, May 6, 2026 (BSS) - Police under the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested a total of 100 individuals in special drives conducted in Mirpur, Mugda, and Jatrabari police stations areas over the past two days.

In Mirpur Model Thana, police detained 54 persons including three alleged extortionists, during a drive today targeting crime-prone areas.

In Mugda Thana, a total of 22 suspects were arrested on Tuesday. Among them, several were held in connection with regular and pending cases, arrest warrants, and mobile court proceedings.

Meanwhile, in Jatrabari Thana, police arrested 24 individuals in a similar drive on May 5, with detainees linked to ongoing cases, previous cases, warrants, and mobile court actions.

All detainees have been sent to the court for legal proceedings, police sources said.
