Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Ariful Haque -File Photo

DHAKA, May 2, 2026 (BSS) - Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Ariful Haque Choudhury will leave Dhaka early tomorrow for the United States to attend the second International Migration Review Forum (IMRF) at the United Nations headquarters.

Ministry Secretary Md. Mokhter Ahmed will accompany him, while Bangladesh Permanent Representative to the UN Salahuddin Noman Chowdhury will join the delegation in New York.

The forum will be held from May 5 to May 8 to review progress in implementing the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration (GCM).

The delegation is scheduled to return home on May 11 after completing the visit.
