Dhaka, Apr 27, 2026 (BSS) - The Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 58 alleged drug addicts in a block raid near the TT Para railway line under Mugda Police Station on Sunday.

The drive was conducted to maintain law and order in the area, according to a press release of the DMP.

The detainees were later produced before the Special Metropolitan Magistrate Court, which handed down various jail terms through summary trials.

Police said such drives will continue to keep the capital’s law and order situation stable.
