New DGs appointed to various departments

DHAKA, April 26, 2026 (BSS) - The government has appointed new Director Generals (DGs) to several departments of the state.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued separate notifications today regarding these appointments.

According to the notifications, Khondokar Anwar Hossain, Director at the Office of the Divisional Commissioner, Barishal, has been appointed as the Director General of the National Institute of Youth Development.

Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun, Director of the Department of Disaster Management, has been made the Director General of the National Freedom Fighter Council.

Md. Jashim Uddin Khan, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, has been appointed as the Director General of the Directorate General of Food, while S.M. Arif Pasha, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Land, has been named the Director General of the Department of Agricultural Marketing.

Kazi Md. Saiful Islam, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, has been appointed as the Director General of the Bureau of Non-Formal Education, and Asaduzzaman, Director of the Directorate of Government Accommodation, has been made the Director General of the Wage Earners' Welfare Board.

Furthermore, Dr. Md. Lutfur Rahman, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, has been appointed as the Director General of the Department of Environment, and Dil Afroza, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, has been appointed as the Director General of the Directorate of Nursing and Midwifery.
