DHAKA, July 25, 2026 (BSS) - 'Amra BNP Paribar' has extended assistance to Shahidul Islam, ailing father-in-law of martyr engineer Shahriar who was killed during the 2024 student-people mass uprising. 

Upon learning about the illness of Shahidul Islam, BNP Chairman and chief patron of 'Amra BNP Paribar' Tarique Rahman directed his Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon to take necessary measures.

A delegation of 'Amra BNP Paribar', led by its Member Secretary Agriculturist Moksedul Momin Mithun, today visited the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) in the capital and conveyed a message of deep sympathy and solidarity on behalf of Tarique Rahman.

They also inquired about the treatment of Shahidul Islam and provided medical assistance.

Member of Amra BNP Paribar Masud Rana Liton, Mustakim Billah, Rubel Amin, central legal affairs secretary of DAB Dr. M R Hasan, Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal leader Abdullah Al Misbah, and Mashiur Rahman Mohan were present.

It is noted that the family of martyr engineer Shahriar has been enduring successive tragedies. His wife has already lost both her husband and mother, while her father is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.

At this difficult time, Tarique Rahman and 'Amra BNP Paribar' have expressed solidarity by standing beside the bereaved family.
