DHAKA, April 22, 2026 (BSS) - Algerian Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr. Abdelouahab Saidani today paid a courtesy call on the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md. Ali Hossain Fakir. 

The meeting took place this morning at the Police Headquarters, said a press release. 

During the meeting, the Algerian Ambassador congratulated the newly appointed IGP. He exchanged views on irregular migration, human trafficking, enhancing the capacity of Bangladesh Police in various security-related fields and other matters of mutual interest.

The IGP welcomed Algeria's cooperation in enhancing the capacity of Bangladesh Police. He emphasized strengthening mutual collaboration between the police personnel of the two countries.

Senior officers of Bangladesh Police were present on the occasion. At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed hope for stronger and more fruitful cooperation in the future.
