REHAB elects Dr Ali Afzal as President, Abdur Razzaq as Senior Vice-President

DHAKA, April 19, 2026 (BSS) – Dr Md Ali Afzal has been elected President, while Abdur Razzaq has been elected Senior Vice-President in the biennial election of the Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) for the 2026–2028 term.

The Election Commission announced the results after completing manual vote counting around 1:00 am, following a peaceful day-long polling.

Dr Afzal secured 232 votes, while Abdur Razzaq won 216 votes, according to a press release issued today.

Mohammad Akter Biswas was elected Vice-President-1 with 250 votes, Abu Khalid Md Barkatullah Vice-President-2 with 255 votes, and A.F.M. Ubaidullah Vice-President-3 with 234 votes.

Dr Md Harun Or Rashid won the Vice-President (Finance) post with 262 votes, while Mohammad Morshedul Hasan secured 317 votes as Vice-President (Chattogram).

Mohammad Labib Billah topped the director list with 338 votes, while Umme Jahan Arzu and Habibur Rahman Habib received 304 votes each.
