DHAKA, April 17, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCCI) today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Commerce Secretary Mahbubur Rahman.

In a condolence message, BCCCI President Mohd. Khorshed Alam paid rich tribute to the deceased, saying that the business community has lost a wise, competent, and compassionate guardian whose guidance and integrity will be deeply missed.

Khorshed prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

Mahbubur Rahman passed away at 6:25am today while undergoing treatment at Square Hospital in the capital.

He was 58.
