DHAKA, March 31, 2026 (BSS) - The Probashi Kallyan Bank has introduced a new initiative to support aspiring migrant workers by offering collateral-free loans of up to Tk 10 lakh for enrollment in language courses abroad.

Under this program, interested candidates can receive financial assistance to pursue language training in countries such as Japan, South Korea, China, and Germany, according to a press release of the Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment. 

The initiative aims to enhance the skills and employability of Bangladeshi workers in the global job market by equipping them with necessary language proficiency.

Officials said the move is part of the government’s broader effort to create a skilled workforce and ensure better employment opportunities overseas. 
By removing the requirement for collateral, the ministry hopes to make the loan accessible to a larger number of youths, particularly those from financially constrained backgrounds.

The ministry also emphasized that proper language training will help reduce workplace challenges, improve communication, and increase the chances of higher earnings for migrant workers.
