DHAKA, Mar 25, 2026 (BSS)- Admission to private medical and dental colleges in MBBS and BDS courses for the 2025–26 academic session has begun today and will continue until March 31.
According to Directorate General of Medical Education a list of selected candidates has been prepared through automated software based on online applications, considering merit and preference order.
“Selected students must complete their admission at the respective colleges within the stipulated time,” an order of the directorate said.
It also said that subject to vacant seats, admitted students will have the opportunity to migrate to other medical or dental colleges through an online optional migration process.
Applications for migration can be submitted from 5 pm on March 29 to 5 pm on March 31.
Detailed information regarding the list of selected candidates and admission procedures will be available on the websites of the Directorate General of Medical Education and the Directorate General of Health Services, as well as in the respective colleges.
The directive further stated that original certificates of the students will be verified and retained by the college authorities during the admission process.
Students must also undergo a medical examination by a medical board before admission.
At the initial stage of admission, each student will have to deposit Tk 100,000. The remaining fees, as determined by the government, must be paid to the respective college after completion of the migration process.
The directive mentioned that no additional fees beyond the prescribed amount can be charged under any circumstances.
