NATORE, March 24, 2026 (BSS) – Whip of Jatiya Sangsad Advocate M. Ruhul Quddus Talukder Dulu today said the government wants to build Bangladesh as a united and prosperous country under the leadership of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.

“The present government, led by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, aims to ensure both good governance and development in the country. The implementation of the election manifesto began immediately after the new government assumed office,” he said.

The Whip, also a lawmaker from Natore-2 constituency (Natore Sadar and Naldanga), made the remarks while addressing as the chief guest a reception at the Natore Zila Parishad premises for newly appointed administrator Md. Rahim Newaz.

The whip said the family card distribution programme has already been launched, while honorariums are being provided to religious leaders of mosques and other places of worship. 

“Interest on agricultural loans has also been waived,” he mentioned.

He further said that steps will be taken to ensure protection for people of all classes and professions in the future.
 
Chief Executive Officer of Natore Zila Parishad Parvezur Rahman chaired the event. Natore-3 (Singra) lawmaker Principal Anwarul Islam Anu, Police Superintendent Mohammad Abdul Wahab, and Natore district BNP Member Secretary Md. Asaduzzaman Asad also spoke at the event, among others.
