DHAKA, Mar 2, 2026 (BSS) - The disbursement process of festival allowance for the holy Eid-ul-Fitr 2026 has begun for teachers and employees of MPO-listed private educational institutions. The allowance will be transferred directly to their bank accounts through Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT).
In a notification issued today, signed by the Director General (Additional Charge) of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE), Professor B.M. Abdul Hannan, heads of institutions have been instructed to submit the festival allowance bills online by March 4.
According to the press release, principals and head teachers must log in to the 'MPOEFT' module of the EMIS system using their designated ID and password to submit the bills. They have been directed to determine and enter the payable amount for each eligible teacher and employee in accordance with the relevant regulations.
The DSHE stated that the information submitted by the head of the institution will be treated as final for transferring funds. In cases where any teacher or employee has passed away, resigned, or is temporarily suspended or absent, the details must be clearly mentioned during bill submission, and eligibility must be determined accordingly.
The directorate also warned that any complications arising from incorrect information or overpayment will be the responsibility of the respective head of the institution.
It was further noted that only personnel whose information has been verified through the iBas++ system are currently included in the bill submission option. Those with incomplete or erroneous data will be added later after proper verification.
All principals and head teachers of schools and colleges nationwide have been requested to complete the submission process within the stipulated deadline.
