TANGAIL, Feb 7, 2026 (BSS) – Ahead of the upcoming 13th parliamentary election, a massive election rally was held today in support of the BNP-nominated candidate for the Tangail-5 (Sadar) constituency.

Organized by the Tangail City unit of BNP, the rally started this afternoon from Shaheed Smriti Poura Udyan in the district town.

Sultan Salahuddin Tuku, BNP’s Central Publicity Secretary and the candidate for the Tangail-5, led the rally.

Thousands of men and women participated in the event, carrying banners, festoons, and party flags. The town was resonated with slogans as the rally paraded through important streets before concluding in front of the Tangail Press Club.

Earlier, addressing a rally at Shaheed Smriti Poura Udyan, Sultan Salahuddin Tuku urged the public to ensure victory through voting for the ‘Sheaf of Paddy’ symbol on February 12.

District BNP President Hasannujamil Shahin, former Member Secretary of District BNP Mahmudul Haque Sanu, General Secretary of City BNP Ejajul Haque Sabuj, former Acting President of City BNP Shamsur Rahman Chowdhury, and Acting Member Secretary of District Jubo Dal Zahid Hossain Mala, among others were present at the event.
