CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Feb 5, 2026 (BSS)- Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman today said a nationwide mass upsurge has been created in favour of building a "Humane Bangladesh".
"We want to establish justice based on fairness everywhere. The same justice that applies to a ruler will also be applied to ordinary citizens," he said while addressing an election rally as the chief guest at Nawabganj Government College ground in Chapainawabganj town.
Chapainawabganj district unit of Jamaat-e-Islami organised the rally.
The Jamaat Ameer said, " Once justice is ensured, extortion would not be tolerated anywhere in the country and all avenues of extortion would be shut

People of the country are tired after witnessing misrule over the past 54 years and now seek change, he said.
Addressing youths, Dr Shafiqur Rahman said, "Young people will sit in the cockpit of Bangladesh and lead the country forward at rocket speed while we will sit in the passenger seat."
Speaking about women, he said Jamaat would ensure two key issues-- rights and dignity-- at all levels of security and society.
