Dr. Zahid urges voters to exercise voting rights in Dinajpur

DINAJPUR, Jan 27, 2026 (BSS) - BNP Standing Committee Member and BNP candidate for Dinajpur Sadar–6 constituency Professor Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain on Monday urged voters to exercise their voting rights without fear, pressure or temptation.

“Vote according to your own decision. You will cast your vote for whomever you want. Do not bow to any fear, pressure or temptation. This is your fundamental right and no one can stop you,” Dr. Zahid said.

He made the remarks while addressing an election road meeting organized by City Cable Digital Hili at Hili Charmatha in Hakimpur upazila of the district around 10:30 pm.

Referring to the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election scheduled for February 12, Dr. Zahid said candidates from different political parties are reaching out to voters across the country. “As the BNP-nominated candidate, I have come before you seeking your prayers and support so that you may vote for the Sheaf of Paddy symbol,” he added.

Highlighting development priorities for the Dinajpur-6 constituency, Dr. Zahid stressed the need for planned development of the region.

 “Coordinated initiatives are required to improve the communication system, promote industrialization, expand border trade and ensure employment opportunities for the youth. I am involved in politics with these goals in mind,” he said.

City Cable Digital Hili Directors Shafiqul Islam Bidyut and Zahidul Islam Zahid, Hakimpur Upazila BNP President Ferdous Rahman, leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliated organizations, media workers, businessmen, teachers and people from various walks of life were present at the meeting.
