DHAKA, Jan 10, 2026 (BSS) - Jamaat-e-Islami today expressed deep sorrow over deaths of three and injury of two Bangladeshis belonging to the same family in a road crash in Oman.

   The fatal accident occurred on January 9 in Oman’s Salalah area, where a vehicle carrying the family collided with a camel, leaving three people dead and a woman and a child critically injured.

   “Through this tragic incident, the family lost a mother, a son and a son-in-law. It is deeply heartbreaking,” Jamaat said in statement.

    The family hailed from Fatikchhari in Chattogram.

     The deceased were identified as Bilkis Begum, her son Mohammad Sakibul Hasan and son in law Mohammad Didarul Alam. The mnames of the wounded woman and the child could not be known immediately.

   The statement said Jamaat leaders prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls and quick recovery of the injured.

   The party expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members and relatives in this moment of grief.
