DHAKA, Jan 10, 2026 (BSS) - The White Panel of Dhaka University (DU) today 
congratulated Tarique Rahman on assuming office as Chairman of the Bangladesh 
Nationalist Party (BNP).

In a statement, White Panel Convener Professor Dr Md Morshed Hasan Khan and 
Joint Conveners Professor Dr Abdus Salam and Professor Dr Md Abul Kalam 
Sarkar said Tarique Rahman was unanimously appointed full-fledged BNP 
chairman by the party's National Standing Committee in line with the party 
constitution.

They said his leadership has kept BNP well organised despite adverse 
political conditions and expressed confidence that democracy and people's 
voting rights would be restored under his leadership.

The DU white panel leaders also said BNP leaders and activists from 
grassroots to central level are united under Tarique Rahman and wished him 
good health, long life and continued success.
