DHAKA, Dec 30, 2025 (BSS) - The SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industries has expressed its deepest condolences on the passing of Begum Khaleda Zia, former Prime Minister of Bangladesh and Chairperson of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).

In a message of condolence issued today, Begum Khaleda Zia was a pioneering political leader who played a pivotal role in shaping Bangladesh’s political landscape.  

As the country’s first female Prime Minister and the long-standing Chairperson of the BNP, she demonstrated remarkable leadership, resilience and dedication to her nation’s democratic progress.

The chamber expressed heartfelt sympathies to her family, the Government and people of Bangladesh and all those who admired her tireless commitment to public interest.
