DHAKA, May 20, 2026 (BSS)- Lalbagh thana police today rescued a two-year and six months old infant from city’s Begunbari area under Shilpanchal thana. 

Rabbi Islam Hasib went missing from their Sheikh Saheb Bazar residence under Lalbagh thana on last Friday noon while his mother and other members of the family were sleeping. His mother Sheuli Akhter filed a diary with Lalbagh thana in this connection on that night.

Police started searching for the baby and scrutinized the CC camera footages in different city point of prospective areas. Police also deployed ‘sources’ in the area and used cyber technology to find out the baby and finally traced him out at Begunbari area.
 
Police claimed that the rescued baby is well now and legal procedures were on progress to hand over the baby to his family.
