DHAKA, Dec 29, 2025 (BSS) - A three-day poster exhibition based on the War of Liberation has begun at the Gulshan Nagar Bhaban here today under the initiative of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC).

DNCC Administrator Mohammad Ejaz inaugurated the exhibition that will continue till December 31.

In his inaugural speech, the DNCC Administrator said that, “December is our month of victory. In this month we have gained our independent map upon which we can stand and dream of our future.”

He further said that various narratives about the history of the Liberation War emerged at different times. However, to truly understand the political and military struggle of that period, it is essential to closely observe the posters that covered the walls during the Liberation War.

He also added that visitors at the Nagar Bhaban will be able to see these historic posters. “You may remember the impact of wall writings and posters of the July upsurge in toppling the fascist regime. In the same way, during the Liberation War, these posters inspired and gave courage to the freedom fighters and the general public.”

The exhibition will be open to the public every day from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Different types of historic posters from the Liberation War period are being displayed, presenting the struggle, spirit and inspiration of the Liberation War to the new generation.

DNCC Chief Executive Officer Muhammad Asaduzzaman, its Chief Engineer Brigadier General Md. Moin Uddin, Chief Health Officer Brigadier General Imrul Kayes Chowdhury, along with other DNCC officials, were present at the time.
