DHAKA, Dec 20, 2025 (BSS) - Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in a statement has expressed deep gratitude to all concerned for ensuring the peaceful and dignified funeral and burial of Shaheed Sharif Osman bin Hadi, spokesperson of Inqilab Mancha.

The Namaz-e-Janaza and burial were held today with full religious rites in an emotional yet orderly atmosphere. 

One of the largest funerals in recorded history, the event saw the participation of a massive number of people from all walks of life, reflecting the deep respect and love they held for the late Sharif Osman Hadi.

Considering the huge turnout, DMP deployed adequate security measures, including 1,000 body-worn cameras and a sufficient number of police personnel. 

As a result, the entire process was completed smoothly in a peaceful and religious environment.

The DMP extended its sincere thanks to the Special Security Force (SSF), Bangladesh Army, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), Bangladesh Ansar and VDP, Dhaka University authorities, and other government agencies directly involved in maintaining law and order during the funeral.

The police also expressed appreciation to various political parties, media personnel, and the general public for their unprecedented cooperation.

The DMP has conveyed its deepest gratitude and appreciation to everyone involved for completing this historic Namaz-e-Janaza and burial ceremony in an orderly, respectful, and dignified manner.
