DHAKA, Dec 20, 2025 (BSS) – Police arrested 783 more crime suspects across the country in the last 24 hours under “Operation Devil Hunt Phase-2”.

According to Police Headquarters, an additional 875 individuals were detained in connection with previous cases and pending warrants, bringing the total number of arrestees to 1,658.

During the operation, police recovered three revolvers, one rifle, five shooter guns, one pistol, one gun, 302 rounds of bullets, 17 kilograms of gunpowder, 29 cartridges, three grenades, 16.3 kilograms of crackers, five magazines, and more than 21 locally made sharp weapons.

As part of the nationwide crackdown, law enforcement personnel searched 20,333 motorcycles and 17,923 cars. During the drive , 356 illegal motorcycles were seized.

Police said the operation will continue to maintain law and order and curb criminal activities across the country.
