DHAKA, Dec 19, 2025 (BSS) - Teachers of the Dhaka University's (DU) White Panel (Sada Dal) believing Bangladeshi nationalism today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of July Mass Uprising hero and Inqilab Mancha spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi.
In a condolence message, White Panel convener Prof Dr Morshed Hasan Khan, joint conveners Prof Dr Abdus Salam and Prof Dr Md Abul Kalam Sarkar said that Hadi was not only an organiser but also a visionary of post-July revolution Bangladesh.
"Disregarding the blood-stained gaze of fascism, Hadi's courageous role-from street protests to shaping public opinion-will remain forever alive in the hearts of the people. In this critical period of the nation, the departure of such a dedicated and patriotic young leader has created an irreparable void," they added.
They further said that with Hadi's untimely passing, the country has lost a fearless, uncompromising, and progressive political voice.
Speaking on the context, they said the brutal killing, occurring ahead of the upcoming 13th national parliamentary elections, is a stark manifestation of a deep conspiracy by vested groups and violent politics.
"We firmly believe that the blood of martyr Sharif Osman Hadi will not go in vain. His ideals, courage, and democratic struggle will inspire future generations and motivate resistance against all terrorist forces," the message said.
On behalf of the Dhaka University Sada Dal, the leaders prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathies to the bereaved family members.
