DHAKA, Dec 18, 2025 (BSS) - The police have so far arrested 4232 crime suspects in the nationwide 'Operation Devil Hunt Phase-2'. 

Under the operation, 2042 were arrested in the past 24 hours with 1074 were captured in previous cases and outstanding warrants and 968 were netted on various criminal charges, according to Police Headquarters. 

One pistol, one shotgun, one pipe gun, two magazines, 20 round cartridges, four exploded gas shells, two unexploded gas shells, four round bullets, nine crude bombs and several local sharp weapons were seized during the operation. 

Additionally, 22,990 motorcycles and 1,904 cars were searched during the police operation. The searches led to the recovery of one shotgun, three improvised explosive devices (cocktails), four country-made weapons, and three rounds of ammunition, and resulted in the arrest of five individuals.
