DHAKA, Dec 17, 2025 (BSS) - The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has intensified its check post system at various key points across the capital to maintain law and order. 

The enhanced security measures came into effect from 4:00 pm today.

"We have enhanced the security arrangement with setting up additional check posts around Dhaka to maintain security," Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Talebur Rahman of DMP Detective Branch (media) told BSS today. 

According to DMP sources, check posts set up at several key points in city include Basila in Ramna Division, Babubazar in Lalbagh Division, Postogola Bridge in Wari Division, Matuail U-Loop, Staff Quarters and Basabo Road (Kamalapur) under Motijheel Division, Gabtoli in Mirpur Division, 300 Feet area in Gulshan Division and Abdullapur Bridge, Kamarpara and Dhour Bridge in Uttara Division.
